1) The Competition is open to all unsigned bands.

2) All band members must be over Thirteen years of age. Consent must be obtained and signatures of parents / guardians of all band members under eighteen years of age (No upper age limit).

3) All applicants must summit completed entry form with the Fifteen Pounds entry fee (which is non-refundable).

4) All applicants must submit a non-returnable demo C.D (this does not have to be professionally recorded).

5) All bands will be judged by a panel of selected judges and the adjudicator’s decision shall be final.

6) All bands agree to any publicity/photos being used for promotion before or after this event by the BCC

7) All bands will perform a twenty-minute set, (to include at least one song to be of own and original material).

8) The carnival committee have the right to stipulate volume and amplification.

9) All bands must be available to play on the 19th and 20th July 2008, Live on stage at Beccles Quay.
(All winning bands will sign a contract for this on the night of 10th May.)

10) Any bands that are seen to be or suspected to be consuming alcohol or smoking under age will be automatically disqualified.

11) Any persons seen to be taking, dealing or in possesion of illegal substances will be disqualified and reported to the police immediately.

12) Bands which over play there set time will lose 20 points from their overall score.

13) The Beccles Carnivals' decisions are final. We reserve the right to make amendments to these terms and conditions without prior notification. A copy of the latest terms will be available online and at the venue.

14) In the event of high numbers of entrants the bands playing at competition will be pre-selected prior to event by a panel of judges.

15) In the event of a tie the adjudicator has the casting and final vote.
